Bringing a dog into your home and making it a part of your family is an important decision, and our mission here at Blue Mountain Family Doodles is to help you find the perfect puppy! We have many measures in place in order to accomplish this and make the transition from our
home to yours as seamless as possible.

Health

     To ensure the best quality puppies with good health and genetic lines, we perform genetic testing on not only our dams and sires, but on the puppies as well so you know exactly what you are getting. We use Canine Health Check, which tests more than 250 inherited diseases with 99% accuracy. To help the puppies neurological systems, specific exercises are done with the puppies from days 3-16. These exercises have been shown to improve cardiovascular performance, provide stronger adrenal glands, give more tolerance to stress and give them greater resistance to disease. All of our puppies are thoroughly examined by reputable veterinarians and given their first set of shots as well as deworming. We also offer a 2 year health guarantee on all of our puppies to give you peace of mind in the investment that you are making when purchasing from us! 

Training

     Many households use crate training as an effective means to train their new puppy. To help with the transition from our home to yours, we slowly expose the puppies to crates in a non-threatening way that makes the crate feel more like their own personal space instead of a cage or prison. We also get a jump start on potty training by keeping the puppies on a schedule of sleep→potty→play. Pee pads are also used to help encourage puppies to potty in specific places. All of our puppies have experience walking on a leash before coming to your home.

Socialization

     Socialization may be one of the most important practices that we put in place to ensure a well-rounded dog. We give our puppies many different experiences with all kinds of people, children and even other animals. The first three months of life are critical for socialization to help your puppy become a more relaxed and well behaved dog, especially in stressful situations. We make sure your puppy is well prepared and on the right path socially when it comes to living in your home.
